It's not the first time that Apple hasn't played nicely with the LG 27UK series of monitors. tiresome, the posts here saved me a visit to the Genius Bar. Having spent nearly 24-hours on this, total system wipe, reset firmware etc.

Monterey 12.3 installed and my LG 27UK850 monitor, with displayport cable, was black. I had the same problem on my 2018 mac mini. I just want to thank everyone, especially the OP for this thread. And I've lost the use of two monitors, but the system works.
